cookie my abit nf7 ver 1.2 comes up but it gives a "cpu is unworkable or has been changed...please re check soft menu" i have tried everthing. and researched google on some of the common problems accosiated (small tweaks) and then i reset it all to most reliable start up...memory test came back clean(it holds 3 gigs but i only had 2 sticks of 266-16x24 ddr ram(could this be it?), brand new unformatted 200 gig hdd,pny gforce 5200 128mg vid card,asus 16x dvd-rom,plextor dvd rewriter and a new 400w psUPPLY.
can i bring you this to check it out,i will bring it to whereever you ask sunday wheneer your ready and i promise never to buy another bit board again.

If it's one of the newer CPUs (mobile barton or something) it might need a BIOS update to recognize the chip.

OH, BTW, be careful messing with the BIOS on that board.  The rev 1.0-1.2 NF7 boards could corrupt the BIOS and require a new chip to fix them.  They corrected that issue with the rev 2.0 boards.  It's not hugely likely, but it can happen.
