another spell of boredom and having to listen to people drivel on about basketball   Dam the issues with the NHL. Cant believe they are wiling to boycott for 2 years. its a business for alot of people, surprised they havent started looking for new players to just replace the others.

Actually, they are planning on having a season next year, with or without the players, it sounds like they will bring in "scrubs" or transfer people from the various farm teams to fill the rosters.  I wouldn't have a complaint about that, it worked for football, so I could definately see it workin for the NHL as well. One way or the other I WANT MY DAMN HOCKEY!!!!!!!!

Im not a big hockey fan but it sure sucks. I remember baseball in 94 pulling a similar stunt and it sucked. It cost Tony Gwynn a chance a .400 and the expos a posible title...but more than that fans lost alot of interest which will certainly happen to hockey...

I wish i could do a lockout at my job. I'd prolly get fired the next day damnit!! Both sides are at fault...thats why i will never want to earn millions of dollars

News Flash!: The NHL and NHLPA will meet in New York on Saturday in an attempt to reach agreement on a new collective bargaining agreement. In fact, The Hockey News is reporting that the sides have already agreed in principle to a deal that includes a $45-million salary cap, and could 'un-cancel' the season Saturday.

I truly hope this is will work.  This is being done through back door meetings with Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux and some player reps.  And if it does work out, they need to fire both NHL commissioner Gary Bettman and NHLPA executive director Bob Goodenow.

I agree Crow, neither of those guys really have the 'Health and longevity" of the sport on there minds, it is all about money money money.  If they can save what's left, though, is it really worth it?

I mean it will at most be a 24 game season, what is the point in that, I would almost say that at this point, iron out a new CBA and leave the season cancelled, start out fresh for next season........

Though, if they do still hold a 24 game season, you can bet I will still be watching!
